Below are the entry requirements for the Dominican Republic. Please not these are fluid and can change with little notice.Please see above and note the “last updated” date. You will also find a link(s) at the bottom of the page with the most up-to-date information which we encourage you to review the week prior to travel. The following information applies to those with a Canadian passport and who are fully vaccinated. If this does not apply to you, please contact your Travel Advisor.

Most travelers from Canada with proof of full COVID-19 vaccination can enter Dominican Republic, but there are restrictions.

Quarantine may be required
Travellers with a high temperature or with symptoms will be required to take a COVID-19 rapid test. If they test positive, they will be required to quarantine at a designated facility.

DOCUMENTS YOU NEED FOR YOUR TRIP

Travelers departing from Canadian airports require proof of vaccination
Travellers departing from Canadian airports, rail, and passengers vessels on voyages of 24 hours or more need to be fully vaccinated in order to board. This requirement applies to international and domestic departures. Fully vaccinated travellers must have received a full course of vaccination with an accepted vaccine. The accepted 2 dose vaccines are Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria, COVISHIELD), Sinopharm, Sinovac (CoronaVac, PiCoVacc), or Covaxin, and the accepted 1 dose vaccine is Janssen/Johnson & Johnson. Travellers that have received a combination of 2 accepted vaccines are considered fully vaccinated. Travellers must have received their last dose at least 14 days before departure. Travellers must print, complete, and carry the indicated attestation form with them.

Mandatory travel declaration form before arrival
Travellers are required to fill out an electronic entry form before arrival, which combines the Traveller’s Health Affidavit, Customs Declaration, and International Embarkation/Disembarkation forms. Once completed, it will provide a QR code that will be scanned by the authorities on arrival. The form must be completed individually by each traveller and it can be filled out at any moment, however, it is recommended to fill it out a maximum of 72 hours before departure to the Dominican Republic. Complete online: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/

Mandatory health pass for public activity
Travellers are required to provide an identity document and evidence of COVID-19 vaccination with at least 2 doses, or a negative COVID-19 PCR test, to access public spaces, schools, businesses, restaurants, gyms, public transport, and other public areas. Please check the source for more details.
This requirement does not apply to: -Travellers under the age of 12.

Temperature screening is required for all travellers on arrival. Travellers with a high temperature will be required to take a rapid COVID-19 test. If travellers test positive, they will be required to quarantine at a designated facility.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC EXIT REQUIREMENTS

Travel declaration form before exiting the Dominican Republic

Travellers are required to fill out an electronic entry form before departure, which combines the Traveller’s Health Affidavit, Customs Declaration, and International Embarkation/Disembarkation forms. The form must be completed individually by each traveller and, once completed, it will provide a QR code that will be scanned by the authorities before departure. The form can be filled out at any moment, from the time of purchase of the airline ticket to the time before going through Immigration.
