Itinerary
2021 TOUR DETAILS TO BE ANNOUNCES!
Day 1 – Thurs. Sept. 3: WestJet 050 from Halifax departing at
10:20 pm, arriving in Dublin on Sept. 4 at 7:32 am.
Day 2 – Fri. Sept. 4: Monaghan
Arrive at Dublin airport and meet our Irish Tour Guide and
Coach Driver. We will drive through the countryside north-west
of Dublin, viewing the ancient burial mound of Newgrange, on
our way to Monaghan where we will spend the first two nights.
Overnight at Hillgrove Hotel with dinner included.
Day 3 – Sat. Sept. 5: Monaghan County
After breakfast you will enjoy a tour of County Monaghan. This
route will give you a better look at the lives of the Irish today as
we are outside the tourist track. In the evening you will take
part in an authentic Irish Kitchen Party. Overnight at Hillgrove
Hotel. Dinner on our own tonight.
Day 4 – Sun. Sept. 6: Monaghan – Belfast
Leaving the Republic of Ireland, we drive through Northern
Ireland, visiting the famous "Giant's Causeway", a geologically
interesting basalt rock formation created over 60 Million years
ago, then travel through the glens of Antrim before we head to
Belfast. Overnight at the Jury's Inn Belfast. Dinner on our own
tonight.
Day 5 – Mon. Sept. 7: Touring Belfast area
We will visit the amazing Titanic Belfast Exhibit, in the heart of
the docklands, tour the city and give you some free time to
explore this richly historic capital. Overnight at the Jury’s Inn.
Dinner on our own tonight.
Day 6 – Tues. Sept. 8: Belfast – Sligo
After breakfast we leave Belfast and head towards Sligo. We
will visit Derry, and will walk a portion of the" Walls of Derry",
with an interpretive guide, and have time for lunch, before
driving through the beautiful countryside of Donegal on our way
to Sligo, where we will overnight at the Yeats Country Hotel with
dinner included.
Day 7 – Wed. Sept. 9: Sligo – Galway
After breakfast we pass many sites of interest as we enter
Yeats’ Country, the birthplace of the poet WB Yeats, where a
short stop is planned to view the churchyard and gravesite
where Yeats is buried. After stopping for a quick lunch in Sligo,
a unique town with the river Garavoguer running through the
centre, we continue to Galway. Overnight at The House Hotel
with dinner included.
Day 8 – Thurs. Sept. 10: Touring Galway area
Today we are touring the Galway area and you will enjoy
authentic Irish entertainment in the evening. Dinner on our own
tonight. Overnight at The House Hotel.
Day 9 – Fri. Sept. 11: Galway – Killarney
After breakfast we are heading south towards Killarney. We
travel through the Burren, a strange rocky landscape rich in
wild orchids and beautiful scenery. We visit the Cliffs of Moher,
one of Ireland's most visited natural attractions with
spectacular views of Ireland's Atlantic Coast in County Clare.
We travel to Adare, one of Ireland’s “Prettiest Villages” with
iconic thatched-roofed houses. Overnight at The Lake Hotel
with dinner included.
Day 10 – Sat. Sept. 12: Touring Killarney area
Today we wend our way along the beautiful countryside and
coastline of South West Ireland, through the Dingle Peninsula.
Overnight at The Lake Hotel. Dinner on our own tonight.
Day 11 – Sun. Sept. 13: Killarney – Cork
On our drive through southern Ireland today we include a stop
in Bantry and at the Skibbereen Heritage Center with its
renowned Famine Commemoration Exhibition. Overnight at
Maryborough Hotel Cork with dinner included.
Day 12 – Mon. Sept. 14: Touring Cork area
After breakfast we will explore County Cork incl. stops in Cobh
and Blarney Castle. Overnight at Maryborough Hotel Cork.
Dinner on our own tonight.
Day 13 – Tues. Sept. 15: Cork – Wexford
Today we are heading north-east via Youghal, Dungarvan and
Waterford! We will enjoy this southern part of Ireland before
arriving at Wexford, Overnight at the Riverbank House Hotel
with dinner included.
Day 14 – Wed. Sept. 16: Wexford – Dublin
After breakfast we will visit Glendalough, one of the richest
monastic sites in Ireland, then continue our drive to the capital
of Ireland. While in Dublin, we will experience one of Ireland’s
newest attractions, Epic Ireland, an Irish emigration museum
located in Dublin’s Docklands! In the evening, enjoy a Dinner
Show with Irish Music. Overnight at Jury’s Inn Parnell Street.
Day 15 – Thurs. Sept. 17: Dublin
Today, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dublin and get a taste of the
famous "Guinness" during a visit of the Guinness Store House!
In the evening we are on our own for dinner. Overnight at Jury’s
Inn Parnell Street.
Day 16 – Fri. Sept. 18: Fly home from Dublin at 9:00 am on
WestJet 051 to Halifax, arriving at 11:02 am.
Tour INCLUDES: Tour manager beginning in Canada. All airport
and hotel transfers in Ireland if travelling with the group from
Canada. Air conditioned/heated coach with driver/guide
throughout the tour. Meals: All full Irish breakfasts and 7
dinners provided. Tea or Coffee where meals are provided. City
Tours in Dublin and Belfast. Entrance fees to sites included in
the itinerary. All taxes and service charges at hotels, meals and
sites included in the itinerary.
Tour DOES NOT include: Gratuities to driver and guide. Personal
insurance coverage. Drinks such as soda pop and alcohol.
Prices quoted are per person, based on double occupancy, in
Canadian dollars and are subject to change in case of adverse
currency fluctuation. A non-refundable deposit of $250 per
person is required at time of reservation (first come, first
served). Final payment is due by July 3, 2020. Cancellation
insurance is strongly recommended and may be purchased at
the time of first deposit. Some itinerary details are subject to
