Day 1
Welcome to Israel!!
Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, we will
be met and transferred to our hotel. The Balance of the day will
be at leisure. (D)
Day 2: Tel Aviv
Enjoy this day on your own – head to the beach or take a little
time for exploration. Tonight, we will enjoy a welcome dinner
with the group. (B/D)
Day 3: Tel Aviv to Tiberias
Today we will follow the coast to the ruins of the ancient Roman
Capital of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great around 22 BC.
Marvel at the Roman Theatre, aqueduct and fortress. Travel the
Valley of Armageddon to the excavation site of Tel Megiddo,
which dates back to the Bronze Age. Next, the breathtaking
panorama of Haifa and the Gardens of Mount Carmel (UNESCO
World Heritage site). A step back in time in the ancient Crusader
city of Acre (UNESCO). Our day will come to a close in Tiberias.

Today we have the opportunity to stop in a Druze Village for
lunch – this will be an additional charge of $38 per person – the
group will discuss and decide.
Day 4: Cana – Nazareth – Capernaum
Enjoy breakfast and then set off for Cana – considered to be the
site of the first miracle – where water was turned into wine. In
Nazareth, visit the Church of the Annunciation on the Mount and
then to Tabgha. A stop in Capernaum. At some point today we
will enjoy lunch at a kibbutz. (B/L/D)
Day 5: Tiberias to the Dead Sea
Today we have the chance to peek into Roman times at Beit
Shean's well preserved theatre and then continue along the
Jordan River Valley into Jericho. Then, a journey to Qumran, the
location of the most important archeological finds of all time –
The Dead Sea Scrolls. From here we will proceed to the lowest
place on earth, the Dead Sea. Here we will have ample time to
experience the buoyancy and the healing waters which comes
from the salt concentration. The rest of our day is at leisure.

Day 6: Masada to Jerusalem
Today we will go to the former palatial fortress of Masada
(UNESCO). Ascend the walls of Masada by cable car to Herod's
palaces, the Roman Camp and the synagogue. A stop at the city
of Bethlehem, spread along the Judean Hills, brings us to the
Church of the nativity – the birthplaces of Jesus and the first
church ever built. Tonight, we will arrive in one of the most
captivating cities in the world – Jerusalem. (B/D)
Day 7: Jerusalem
A drive to the Mount of Olives today will give a panoramic view
of Jerusalem and the surrounding area. We will see the Church
of the Ascension and the Garden of Gethsemane. Continuing on
we will come to the Kidron Valley to see the tombs of Mary,
James, etc. Now, onto St. Peter in Galincantu and Mt. Zion. We
will discover the room of the Last Supper and the Tomb of King
David, concluding our tour at the Garden Tomb. (B/D)
Day 8: Jerusalem
Today we will discover the Old City of Jerusalem on a walking
tour of the old walled city (UNESCO). We will see the Western
(wailing) Wall, the Temple area, The Dome of the Rock (outside
only), the Pool of Bethesda and the Church of St. Anne. Next,
we will walk the path of the stations of the Cross as we traverse
the Via Dolorosa, beginning at Pilates' judgement hall and
ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Later we can
continue to explore the city independently or the sights and
sounds of the Mahane Yehuda Market (The Shuk). (B/D)
Day 9: Jerusalem – Eilat
Travel south through the Negev desert. Visit Timna to see the
copper mines of King Solomon' pillars and marvel at the huge
multi-coloured rock formations. Continue to Eilat and stop at the
underwater observatory, one of the largest sea aquariums in the
world, built into the coral reef. Then, onward to Eilat for a 3-night
stay. (B/D)
Day 10
Option 1 – enjoy a day at leisure in Eilat.
Option 2 – Petra Tour – This morning you can depart for the
Jordanian border where you will be taken through and
transported to Petra via the desert highway. Spend the day
wandering through this amazing piece of history – returning via
Aqaba to Eilat at the end of the day. (B/D)

Day 12: Eilat to Tel Aviv
Today we depart Eilat via Mitzpe Ramon to gaze at the Ramon
crater, a geological wonder. We will then proceed to Sde Boker
and see Ben Gurion's hut and grave overlooking the magnificent
Zin Valley. Then a visit to a Bedouin tent where we will enjoy a
light lunch. Overnight in Tel Aviv. (B/L/D)
Day 13
Today we will depart Israel for home with memories and photos
galore.
