Sin City or the Big Apple—which will you enjoy most on a short-stay getaway? “It’s a tough call because one isn’t better than the other. It really depends on what kind of experience you’re looking for,” says Laura MacDonald, Manager, Maritime Travel, Summerside, PE. “If you just want to escape from reality for a bit, then Las Vegas is an easy choice. You are absolutely spoiled for choice in Sin City, with all the A-list entertainers, celebrity chefs, and big-budget stage shows. And then there’s the shopping. Not to mention, you can enjoy all this and more without necessarily even leaving the grounds of your massive hotel.”

New York, on the other hand, is made for walking, according to Laura. “The Big Apple offers an incredible food scene, the glamor of Broadway and the excitement of Times Square. I’m always captivated by the sights and sounds, whether it’s taking in the skyline at night from atop the Rockefeller Center or waiting for the curtain to rise on a hit Broadway show like Come from Away. But prepare yourself for lots of walking and metro-riding because you’re going to want to see it all!”

Here are two of Laura’s recommendations for living it up on a short-stay getaway, one for each city. Ask for details!
