"My new home away from home!"

My husband and I travelled here in April 2015. I think this may be our new favourite Sandals.

The resort has a variety of restaurants, Kimonos (by reservation), Cucina Romana (Italian), Bayside (buffet), Sundowner (Jamaican), Beach Bistro (grill), Barefoot by the Sea (seafood) and the Bella Napoli Pizzeria.

My favourites were the Sundowner, Cucina Romana and the Beach Bistro. The only additional restaurant I would have liked to have seen here is a Cricketeers or Olde English Pub. The Beach Bistro served up amazing fries and jerk chicken along with burgers, nachos and other lunch favourites. I had the steak at Sundowner which was super tender and flavorful. The Linguine Alfredo and wine at die for!

The beach is one of the best I have ever lounged on. Calm, clear waters with plenty of watersports included for free, even water skiing. I don't know of any other resort company that offers this. You can also get PADI certified at Sandals/Beaches resorts. There are floating devices out in the ocean that you can lay on and soak up the sun. If you are lucky, you will get to see the stingrays come by at least once or twice a day. Also, you won't need to get up at 6am to get a lounge chair. There are plenty to go around. Towels are abundant. No need for a towel card.

The rooms are spacious with the comfiest beds. Our bathroom had a large glass shower with wonderful water pressure. Red Lane bath amenities are of excellent quality and provided in every room. No need to bring shampoo or conditioner. Each room has a flat panel TV with a wide selection of channels. WiFi is free with Club Level rooms and Butler suites so you can keep in touch with family and upload your vacation photos. The balconies and terraces are spacious with ample room to sit and enjoy the views. Our mini fridge was well-stocked with beer, juice and soda. I also requested a bottle of sparkling wine to be added each day. Concierge service is the way to go. Reservations are made for restaurants requiring reservations and room service is included with the Club Level rooms. You can also request specific items for your mini fridge in addition to the liquor and wine provided.

The grounds are immaculate. Sandals properties do have the best gardens in the business. This particular property also has a resident peacock and two macaws.

We enjoyed the fire pits on the beach in the evenings. This is a great place to socialize and the nearby bar serves up great martinis! One night, we even had a live Reggae band on the beach.

I would definitely go back to this resort. It can be too quiet for those looking for discos and evening entertainment. I am in bed by 10 or 11 most nights and up early in the morning so the resort attributes suited me perfectly.

Another great thing about Sandals, no tipping allowed. This takes the pressure off of having to have money on you at all times as well as feeling as if you have to tip well to get decent service.
