This hotel is at the end of the strip, but there is a tram that connects it to the Luxor and Excalibur where you can then easily walk up the strip.

This hotel has a convention center, which is what most people stay there for.  They are currently doing renovations and should be done by Feb 2016.  The resort rooms (standard rooms) are renovated and very nice.  The curtains looked retro style to me, which was neat.  Because of the convention goers at this hotel, the rooms have a media hub where people can hook up their lap tops to the tv to work on presentations.  The tv is huge.  It would be great for prep work... and movies!

If you plan on going to this hotel, but not for a convention, it's best to go on a Wednesday/Thursday as conventions usually end on Tuesdays and rates go down when the occupancy is lower.

This hotel is also the home to the Michael Jackson Cirque du Soleil, which is one of the most popular shows on the strip.

I would rate this 4 stars.

The Delano hotel is connected to the Mandalay Bay, and was formerly known as "The Hotel".  There are only 1100 rooms and all are non smoking suites.
The rooms are really nice here.  The bathroom was something else!  There are a lot of lights in the rooms and had nice bright, crisp colors.

There is no casino in this hotel.  There are minimal food spots based in this hotel, but you can easily get to the Mandalay Bay to go to their restaurants/buffet.  The top floor has a restaurant and lounge with a 180 degree view of the strip

I would rate this hotel 4 stars.
