I spent 1 week in Vardero in Apr 2008 visiting many of the resorts in Vardero.  I stayed at the Princesa del Mar and saw the following hotels/resorts:
Paradisus Varadero, Tryp Peninsula, Melia Varadero, Melia Las Americas, Sol Palmeras, Barcelo Marina Palace, Barcelo Sol Y Mar, Sandals Royal Hicacos, Iberostar Varadero and the Iberostar Playa Alameda.
